You didn't ask me, but I think a lot of people just looking or participating in the forums are customers.....otherwise, why continue paying for the forum? There are many more lookers then participants. You can not judge this book by the few that come to the Aquarium to shoot the breeze.

Probably not many. I was a customer of theirs a few times but I kept getting DOAs. Now I get the occasional dry good.

+1. Currently, I help to moderate one of the larger reef forums. We allow links, including links to RC, as long as they are for informational purposes. One of the reasons that I started to gravitate to that site is that they allowed the link exchanges and the staff/members were very friendly and welcoming.

I had to leave after some random member named girthtang kept sending me pm's asking me if I liked to watch porn. Started making me feel a little uncomfortable. I mean I like porn and all that just not with strangers.

People just move on. There was a bunch of overmoderation when I left the forum a while back. I recently decided to come back and give it another shot.

Flower is still around. So is bang guy. BTLD had a baby and is busy with life I guess. Meowzer had some personal life issues and decided to sell off a bunch of stuff.

PEZ comes every now and then to totally school someone on their math skills. Umm,... I dunno who else.

I come by here to remind myself what a little **** I used to be, but otherwise I don't have the time. I may not be an adult, but once you reach a certain age, people consider you one anyway and expect a lot more out of you. I do miss you people (especially snake--what a guy) and it is nice to look back on what we used to have here and all of the people who we helped. I think that deep down you are all really great people (it is obvious that Meowzer is nice, but Darth takes a little more digging). It's a little sad I guess.


EDIT: Also, I guess I don't count. I've been here since 2008, but I'm still listed as a new member.

I still sneak in once in a while. I am Face Book friends with a few of the old timers, Meowzer, Stdreb, Dragonzem (i think was the screen name) The forum here just kinda died.

Not sure when the "old days" were....but I started here in 2004...and had a reef for about 5 years until we moved and I had to sell everything...been lurking ever since. My posts were always getting deleted....but I never posted any links....who knows? ;) My post count should be in the thousands....no clue what happened...
