Not even in Ofice two months and this guy has spent more money than I thought possible. Now he wants to hinder a field of work by forcing them to cap carbon dioxide (last I checked plants need this gas) causing their costs to increase thus potentially causing job lose due to needing to cut costs.
The 275 more billion and more
legislation to lower house payments, what about us that have been paying the
we agreed to? Screw us though.....
This guy needs to slow down...someone just punch me in the face...seriously, grab a brick and bash my face in. It would be less painful than watching this crap.

Actually,
I take full responsibility for this. I failed to convince the zealots here in Ca that there was a better choice. I failed America. Maybe next time I will do more to see that the narow path is chosen...not the wide path to destruction.

Well I can say I did not vote for him!!!!! I think those that did will relaize they made a mistake. He complianed about the bush administration running up the deficit, what do you think he is going to do?? This is not good at all, heck he is basically running a clinton admin and look where that got us. So much for his change, that was just a ploy to get people to follow in with him. I feel sorry for those people. But hey its only 4 years!

In this economy its hard enough to keep a nice car that does not add to this. If they do crap like this, people without jobs are not going to be able to get newer vehicles or get them fixed. So they will have to walk to work. I think they need to wait to do this until the economy goes back up. People NEED their cars to get to work so they can put food on the table

If it was Clinton that messed up the economy than why couldn't Bush fix it? If the economy takes an up turn all you republicans will say that it was all because of bush, and if keeps going down it will all be Obamas fault. People are so blind when it comes to politics. You should care more about what they do. What did bush do that was so great? I can't think of one good thing that came out of his presidency. He had 8 years to do something and it seems to me that in those 8 years everything in this country has gotten worse.

Nobody here said anything positive about Bush. I don't know where you are getting that. The only thing that was said about Bush is that he also ran up the deficit.
Frankly, democrats do the same thing in the eyes of conservatives... in their eyes, Clinton messed up the economy and Bush "took all the blame," and now it's going to turn around in the next 4 years and Obama "is going to get all the credit."
In actuality, it's something in between - it always is.

Yes, Clinton certainly messed up the economy - all those surpluses just made me angry [/irony].

Where was all this concern when the last administration was throwing good money after bad? Think Sen. McCain could have fixed this mess in 30 days? Please! From where I stand Republicans need not point out who and how much money has or will be spent. They had their shot and they blew it!

Lol, having two parties is messing up the country! Republican , democrat, its just puitting people against each other. We need to just choose the right person because they're the right person! Thats why i stay out of politics :).

You mean kind like we are doing now? I think if you look back at the threads here you will see we weren't happy about those bils either. Then to do the same thing again in an even larger amount with 2/3 of the bill not even stimulus, that seems a bit retarded.
So if it doesn't work once, we should try it agaiun and just shut up about it? You are one of those that no matter what, Obama will do no wrong.

Please Darth don't put in a group when you know nothing about me. If you look back on threads that I have been in you will see that I'm an independent. I withheld my Presidential vote this year b/c I wasn't happy with either candidate. Why b/c no matter what my family gets nothing from any stimulus. I'm one of the ones paying for all this with no return.
If the Republicans were just so unhappy than how did all that cash get passed congress when they were in charge?
And you would be one that no matter what President Obama does he will be wrong or just reaping the benefits of the mastermind GW Bush! Right?

I actually saw a poll the other day that said only 8% of the US thinks that the ~800 Billion stimulous package will actually do good.
I think that something needs to be done, but spending this much $ and only 1/3 of it will 'stimulate' the economy - the other 2/3 will maybe create a few jobs. The banks need some money so that they can lend again, and the Auto co's need money to keep America moving, but seriously +-400 Million to build a new dept of homeland security building, and +- 200 Million to reopen a 'clean' power plant that was shut down because of it's inefficiency. Maybe these projects have their time and place - but it's not now.
On a side note - anyone see the NY Post's I think cartoon that now has al sharpton up in arms? He is crying racism because the picture shows 2 cops after shooting an out of control chimp saying "I guess they'll have to find somone new to write another stimulous package" - I'm getting pretty sick of this crap - If anyone says anything against the savior they are a racist. The only people that take offense to this are the ignorant dems that think he actually wrote the bill - FYI we have 3 branches of govt...

You mean the two years of surplus the Republican Congress passed and forced him to sign by closing down the Government?
