My wife was looking in the 39 gallon with our 5 seahorses in it. She said "wow that seahorse is really going to town on something in there!!!" We got to looking and Low and Behold there was about 20 or so baby seahorses in there. I did not think we would have had any this fast. Much less any at all. So i started dipping them out and put them in this little 10 gallon refug i set up a while back. I have been growing these Trigger Pods i got from this guy in CA. They are really big for Triggers. But anyway, What should i feed these little guys. In this refug on a squear inch of class i can count about 25 or so trigger pods and other little things swimming around. Will that be good for them to eat? The triggers look like they might fit in the baby seahorses mouth. Is there anything else i can feed them? I have read everything i can find on seahorse but i cant really find a good place for info on them. The 5 seahorse i have are close to 8 inches when they are swimming. If anyone has any info on them please Email me at joshd123@sbcgloabl.net or call me Anytime - 1 501 882 9142. If you cant call long distance then just call and when i answer just hang up and ill call back. Thanks for any info you guys can give me. God Bless!!

For baby seahorses freshly hatched and enriched baby brine is good. Then as they get bigger try and wean them over to frozen mysis.

This is what i have at my house now. It is all i can find around these parts haha. Itis called Sally's Hatch Mix. It has the salt in with it. I did have a vile of eggs with over 500k eggs in it and some water spilt on them and so i just dumped all them in my tank HAHA. I have crap everywhere for ever. When i clean out my filters it still have hundreds of them in there. That is in my main tank that i did that with. So who, what, when, and where can i get the enriched eggs you was talking about? I have knowen for a long time i have needed them but my seahorses have always eaten forzen foods. So I have never worried much about it.

You may want to decap your eggs for better quality brine and less mess. Most brine are good for your seahorses right after they hatch since they are feeding from their yolk sack. Decapping the eggs helps them hatch easier and they dont waste so much energy. But after 12+ hours or so you will need to enrich them and any type of food enrichments. You want to hatch your brine in a different container. They usually take 24 hours to hatch and will be messy if done inside your display. Ive also heard there could possibly be a chance of getting hydroids from brine eggs but not exactly sure on that but you may see boom in hydroid population if you have any due to feeding bbs.

You can buy copepods and isopods online. Just run a search. This would probably be the easiest method. Or you could culture baby brine shrimp as stated previously or rotifers.
