I can't right now because it's not on the glass so it's hard to get a pic of it, I'll try in the morning. Nope, the area is swollen like a big ball and in the hole it's redish. It's a little hole not a big one. Yes, I just did a 1 gallon water change

It is extremely hard to give advice here. You seriously need to know what your water parameters are. I know that you say that you cannot afford a test kit right now, but you will soon be trying to afford a new clown. Without a picture it is hard to tell what it is. I can tell you that if you had a cycled quarantine tank then the pop eye would be almost gone with Maracyn 2 treatment, and this new infection would not have happened. I understand financial restraints at times, believe me I do, but this is not a hobby to have if you can't come up with $20 for a test kit. I know this may sound rude, and please believe that I don't mean it to be. You absolutely need a test kit and right now you need a cycled quarantine tank. You cannot expect these fish to heal themselves with goodness knows what going on. They need chemical treatment, which you cannot do in a display.

Nevermind. My clownfishes world ended this afternoon:(
I am sorry to hear that. On the positive side, you will now have time to get your test kit and cycle a quarantine before you buy any more fish. These two things are really essential in the hobby. Best of luck to you and please feel free to ask us any questions that you may have.

It's okay I wish I could have gotten the test kit before but like I said I can't afford one right now. And by the way is a quarantine tank a hospital tank?

It is just like a hospital tank. Please read Beth's Common Treatments FAQ for information on quarantine tanks. It is important that you cycle the QT. It may sound like an unnecessary step (the QT), but believe me, it is not. I have a 15 long and a 20 for my 55 gallon. The sizes that I have are appropriate for my sized display. Select one that will accommodate the sized fish that you plan to keep. Cycle it and do not allow anything, including new rock, to enter your display without a three week, minimal, quarantine time. Read around this site. You will find plenty of information about it. Ask anything that you want. You have time to do this right. The first step is getting your test kit.

Yes I will totally read it. Because my tank is a 29 gallon tank I am only wanting to get another clown and a watchman goby whenever I have the money, but what size hospital tank would be best? maybe a 10 gallon or a 15 gallon?. Also like you said I will get the test kit before I get any more fish.

buy a 10gallon starter kit from walmart... works great as a qt tank.. leave it Barebottom and throw some pvc tubes in there and get it cycled and your ready to go...BUY A TEST KIT! thats one of the most important purchase you will make in this hobby... quit worrying about buying a new fish unless you are wanting to throw more money away... if thats the case I can send you my address...I have been eyeing a new pistol shrimp
