I am building a new hood and lighting system for my new tank. Will this work for a 46 gl reef tank? I will be adding an actinic bulb too.
- Brand New REMOTE 250 watt METAL HALIDE BALLAST and Components
- Brand New HORIZONTAL REFLECTOR with 10' cord
- Brand New HIGH OUTPUT 250w MH Bulb (23,000 lumens)
The light is from a garden supply place!)

It will work but you need to find out the color of the bulb. The K rating. Most reefers like bulbs around 10,000 to 20,000 K. The lumens are intensity not color.

The light bulb is 4100 Kelvin . I will look for a new bulbs around 10,000 to 20,000 K.
