I have always thought my clownfish were brave. They were the first fish to eat from my hand and they have gotten to a point that they nibble at my fingers and rub up against them even if I am not feeding them. But today I was really suprised by how brave one of them was. I was doing a water change and trying to syphon out the loads of nasty hair algae that I can never seem to get rid of and I noticed the little guy was following my arm and the syphon hose around the tank. When I started to get close to the back corner of the tank where my clowns spend their night I suddenly felt the clownfish bump repeatedly into my hand. I was amazed at how boldly he defended his territory. I wonder if my clowns are breeding because I know the males are very protective of the eggs but I haven't seen any eggs. Anyways I just thought I would share this because I am still awed by my clowns bravery.
