one eyes lawnmower,

So, Today, I walked in and looked at my tank. All seemed good, except when I was looking at my lawnmower. He didn't have an eye. I'm really not sure why, I've had these fish for almost a year now. And haven't had any agrression problems. But I'm trying to figure out who did it. It is a 180 gallon tank. In it is 2 damsels, a lunar wrasse, a tomato clown and a dog face. Keep in mind this is a huge lawnmower, about 4 1/2 inches long and pretty fat. So I really don't think it was the damsels.
Second what should I do if anything. I really don't have a qt tank set up. I do have a 45 gallon tank. That I could put him in but there are two shrimp in there a cleaner and a coral branded shrimp. Will he be ok with the shrimp?

Well, I think he is gone, I put him in a safer tank, but haven't seen him since. It probably didn't help that when transfering him to the other tank, I dropped him on the floor. But he wasn't looking that good, his eye was entirely gone. And he was lying on his side barely breathing.

They are opportunists, not one of my favorite shrimps. Hopefully not, but certainly have the potential to harm. Good luck.

well after digging around in my 45 I found him, he seems to be ok. Starting to eat again. I feel so bad for him poor guy I hope it doesn't hurt to bad. The cbs was following him around so I put the cbs in my fuge. If only I saw it, I'm really ticked off, he was probably my favorite fish.

I had a yellow tang that I re-named patches when he lost his eye to a puffer. He did just fine after removing the stressful element. You have plenty of fish that could have done the deed, so it's hard to say. Damsels, wrasses, and puffers could pick out an eye. Good luck with the little guy.

Maybe I'll get him a parrot.

I've got a lunar wrasse, that looks alot like that without the red body, mainly green and then blue. Depending on the mood, his tail is blue red and yellow, good. But I think he is the one who snacked on the poor lawnmowers eyeball.
