I've noticed that once in a while, there is a white strip on both sides of my yellow Tang. Also his eyes look to be a bit cloudy. Does anyone know what this can be caused by?

The white strip on the side of your yellow tang is his natural colour, nothing to worry about. However, it becomes more noticeable when they are stressed. Cloudy eye could be a number of things most likely ick but if it doesn't bother him aand it goes away don't worry about it.

My Yellow Tang, Tango, always turns slightly creamier yellow with a white stripe on either side a little bellow his arched lateral line, and actually once the light's been off for a while he has a brown patch in his center. All this happens if I wake him up early in the morning, or once the light goes out, or if it's late before the light goes out. It's perfectly normal, but I night worry about the cloudy eyes unless they go away in the day as well. During the day he's always his bright chrome yellow color, as he's one of the Tangs from Hawaii. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but I'm always busy it seems.

Typically the tang's coloration changes when the light is first turned on in the aquarium and this is very normal. (Just like a blue damsel turns black to blue) If you don't already, be sure to supply him with lots of greenstuff, romaine lettuce, algae, etc. This will give him the best chances to be healthy and avoid eye problems and lateral line disease which is very common in tangs who do not get the proper nutrition!
