One of my clowns is really fat?

I have two ocellaris clowns, and today I noticed that one of them is really fat in its belly area :/ They are about the same size, the smaller one has the weird belly. I've have them for maybe about a month, both are eating well and seem healthy.
I caught the one with the fat belly and put it in ones of those floating container things, but it just swam around crazily trying to get out, so I couldn't really get any good pics. The ones here don't really show its fat belly.
Could it be the mysterious tiny worms I've seen on the glass recently? https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/vb/s...d.php?t=372052

Geez that does look like a unusually fat clown fish. Are both those pictures the same fish? Does it normally hang around at the bottom of the tank? BTW you got such a cute looking kitty.

Yeah, I was turning the light off to try to get it to calm down so I could take a better pic. Nope, they both swim around pretty much everywhere around the tank
Thanks, she's my favorite :D

Is it a new fish? If the clown is swimming around regularly I would just reduce the feeding. If its struggling at the bottom of the tank then I would get worried. BTW its nice to meet another Bay Area person. I've only seen a handful on this forum.

I've have it for about a month, its buddy is doing fine. I just noticed this today, but my parents are divorced so my dad feeds the tank every other week, maybe he's feeding too much, but I'm pretty sure I lectured him long enough for him to get the point that he shouldn't overfeed xD
Lol, I know, it seems like half the people on this site are from the east coast, you know, DeMartini is also in the bay area, you should check out her tanks, they are amazing!

You know I have seen her tanks. They are quite beautiful. Which LFS do you go to? It seems like everyone in the area knows all the good stores.

Lol, I am like surrounded by petcos and petsmarts xD
but I go to atlantis aquarium I think its in union city or something. Its so beautiful there, and their corals are really great. But they dont have that many supplies, which are a bit more expensive. I'm sure there are better stores around, I just can't find them lol
But their livestock seems really bright and healthy, just not the best prices.

Nice! I heard quite a few things about Atlantis but have never been there myself. I go to Neptune's Aquatics and I think they are totally awesome. Anyways, again nice to meet someone from the bay.

Yeah, their corals are really amazing, their whole store is just lit by the MH for the corals xD they dont need any other lights.
Hmm, I've never been Neptune's, is it in San Jose?

Neptunes is in Milpitas. They too I think are entirely lit up by their metal halides. Amazing store! They are just down the street from the Great Mall.

Hmm, I dont know if I could get my dad to drive me over there, I live in the Tri-City area which isn't too far away, but I think my dad would rather drive me to Atlantis because he has a classic car, but it gets horrible gas mileage. Does Neptune's sell SW fish? I looked at their site and they seem to just have FW cichlids and corals.
I'll have to ask my dad, if he's in a good mood he might drive me there :)
BTW, the "ninja" clownfish in your avatar is awesome! I wanted to get a pair, but I dont think Atlantis excepts returns and I didn't want to spent $70-$80 on two fish in case they died.
I'm only on a 15 years old budget, the only reason I have a SW tank is cause my neighbor sold me his tank, stand, hood, filters, etc for $50, all I needed to buy was salt, lights, LR, and some other random supplies

They do have SW fish. The problem is the store is so popular that things get cleaned out of it fairly quickly. They have an amazing collection of corals though. What I do is watch their website for updates on when they get new stuff in. The owners are really cool and I know they are planning on taking a trip to LA this week and restocking on corals and fish. They do this pretty frequently. Also, this coming Saturday (the 23rd) they are doing a frag swap at the store hosted by the Norcal Reef Club or something like that. Having no money at 15 does suck. I've invested more than I would like to admit into my tank. I have a thread under the nano tank section if you would like to see older pictures.

Oh yeah, the Darwin clown in my avatar I got from Neptunes. I got 2 when they were doing a sale for 26 bucks a piece. They do take trade in if you ever decide to trade your regular clowns in which is what I did.

Wow, all the young reefers out there! I jsut turned sixteen, nice to see another around my age. =) I hope your clownfish is ok, mine are my favorite fish in my tank and if one died I think I'd mourn it just as much as I would if my dog died. lol
Any change in how it looks? And I don't think a belly THAT big would have much to do with feedings, that's HUGE. =O

It seems like they have a large selection of corals on their site
Hmm, too bad I don't have any frags right now :( Haha, my sister who is the same age as me is always bugging me that if I hadn't spent all this money on my aquarium I could get a laptop and iPod by now lol
Hmm, I love tank threads like that, I'll check it out

Actually, I think it's smaller now, it's pretty hard to tell cause it keeps moving around and doesn't want to stay still!

id take them out and dose with prazi pro for a few weeks. This will kill any parasites that may or may not be there. If dosed correctly it will not hurt the fish in any way. That way you can be sure it isnt something other than over feeding. Over feeding can cause death. Split the amount up in smaller meals that are fed 2 to 3 times a day rather than one massive feeding.
