One of my peppermint shrimp has a black tail, can anyone tell me why?

A few days after we got 2 peppermint shrimp I noticed one had a black tail. Would there be a reason for it?

under the tail, maybe eggs, lets see what the others come up with. I bought a peppermint a week ago and I have only seen him once, fighting for a piece of shrimp with the bristle star.

mine has a black tail to. I just thought it was part of its color

As mentioned, a black tail is part of a mature pep's coloration.

ok thanks I was just wondering since I had read it could be eggs and only one of my shrimp has it.
