my son has played 2 games of flag football... he is the QB and a Corner or LB on defense... its a 6 person team and the field is 30 yds long... the other coach's wife keeps stats and score even though we arent supposed to... heh
...
1st game = 5 of 9 2 TDs 2 INT for 67 yds, 1 Rush for 25 yds and a TD, 1 pass defensed and 2 tackles
we won 24 to 12 (4 TDs no conversions)
2nd game = 4 of 7 2 TDs for 49 yds, 1 rush for 1 yd, 1 pass defensed (should have picked it!) and 2 tackles, but he also had 3 missed tackles on one play that resulted in the other team scoring... lol...
we won 26 to 25 (4 TDs and one 2pt conversion)
here is a short clip of one of the TDs from Saturday (3-15-08)...
he thows to the kid in the blue hat on the right (the one that the coach talks to prior to the play) i am in black on the sideline bending down to talk to a player... watch my son after the completion its a riot... he has been taught to not just stand there and to either be a part of the end of the play or divert attention...

Thank you!!! he really enjoys it and i hope that continues!!! he even likes practice!!! we have a good bunch of kiddos on the team and they all are getting along, learning team work, the importance of practice and having fun!!!

Your welcome. I agree with the emphasis on fun and teamwork for sure!
My friend used to dominate me in one on one basketball but when we played 3 on 3 or more he sucked. I loved it! There is so much beyond individual play in every sport.

I love watching Pee-Wee games - the kids really play for the joy of it. I remember when my son was in his first T-ball game. A kid hit the ball into the outfield, so all of the parents began to holler for the kids to go get the ball. So...the kids in the field as well as the team batting all ran into center field after the ball. We are still laughing at that one!
