my clams and xenias are doing an excellent job at keeping the nitrate down, before i got them i was never able to keep the nitrate down, anyways y does my tank smell:help:

Like what???? Does it smell like low tide??? It might be from the alage in your tank.

im thinking its the algae, cause the whole back of my tank is cover with it, i only have like three snails, got to get more

Do you dose garlic and Selcon? I'm thinking that's why mine is starting to have a bit of an odor. I'm gonna cut back and only soak the food in it as opposed to dripping a few drops in my sump every day.
