Hey
I recently got an open brain coral and since the moment I dripped him in there, he had gooy substanced coming out of him. I tried to remove it but it just kept coming. I wanted to see if was clear by using air bubbles and the bubbles just stuck onto the goo. what is the problem ?
The salinity is 1.025. temperature 79. and I am using T5 HO lighting.

is it coming out of its mouths? brain corals need good light. t5 ho without reflectors might not be enough, unless u place the brain coral higher up.

I did some research during the mean time and found that the closest problem is the coral being photo shocked. if they loose their bacteria, or parts of them, can they recover it, and what can I do to save the coral.

each bulb will have its own seperate reflector if the fixture is individually reflected. how high is the coral in the tank? what size is the tank, and how many watts of T5? anyone know what type of light swf.com uses for its corals?
