open brain problem

Ok so my open brain is showing severe tissue recession at this point. Should I take it out or leave it in the tank?

Leave it in for now. Does the tissue have a hard/skelital appearance/touch? if so it probably wont make it

Don't give up on it. I have a brain that has some exposed skeleton, but it suddenly stopped dying off. It has not regrown any tissue yet that I can tell, but has not lost anymore tissue for about 8 months!

Well I took the brain out this weekend. It was starting to have tissue hanging off of it. Kind of sad since this was the first piece of coral I bought for the tank. Somehow in this whole mess I stirred up my BTA that I've had for about a year now and I came back down to check on the tank about an hour later and it was in one of my power heads. Not a good week for the tank...
