Open Brain showing skeleton

My open brain is showing approx 1/4 of its skeleton. It was very healthy until last week. A mushroom had floated over and attached to the rock right above it, and had been there for several weeks. At the time, I didnt think much of it. When I relocated the shroom, I found that the skeleton of the brain was visible. I never realized that the shroom would cause tissue recession.

What are the chances of survival and recovery? The part that is left still looks very healthy and I have started feeding it small pieces of silversides.

If you keep the water quality good and don't let any other coral touch it, it should recoup just fine. If it looks like that more of the coral starts receeding, you may want to frag it.

certain shrooms will sting other corals. over time though, ur brain should recover. try feeding it weekly too to make it grow faster.

How would I go about fragging? So far it hasnt receeded, but I want to be prepared just in case.

Anyone on how to frag? It looks like the brain is starting to receed a little.
