Operation Fish Room has begun!!!

I have started work on the laundry room; soon to be :
Fish QT
Frag T
Fish HT
Brine & Mysis shrimp breeding T
& laundry room
I will have to borrow a camera to post some pics(ours is dead), but I will get some up soon!
Here's the current floor plan. I am going to building the tanks for custom fits.

Tonight I am gong to be cleanng the Laundry top to bottom. Than tomorrow I can start cutting the cupboards to size(I'm using the old ones from our kitchen) and cutting out the countertops. Hopefully by Sunday afternoon I will have the main cupboards bolted to the wall.

Very ambitious(sp), that having been said, I'm jealous. I want a fish tank room!

Awesome. Remind your wife that Fishrooms are cheaper than a new hotrod and you will be home more playing with it instead of chasing shows or at the track.

Actually Reef, it's my husband that wants the hot rod!!!!!!! But don't let my huband near and engine; he's already killed 2 cars, both do to lack of filling the oil :scared: I'm not even sure if he could tell you where the oil pan is!!!!
But if he does get one, I'll make sure it's a Harely!!! Best sounding engine ever!!!!!

Who in the heck plumbed that place? those pipes are cold I hope. Looks dangerous
And you LIKE the sound of Harleys? Harleys sound like sick lawnmowers that lost thier muffler IMO.

I don't know, but I suspect the previous home owners did it themselves :scared: :scared: :scared: I looke at the floor plans for our house....the plumbing is beyond odd, the furnace is supposed to be in the center of the downstairs....I wish I had 20,000 bucks laying around...I remodel.
As for the Harely....don't sweat it!

It's the quality of the engine that I like

How many tanks are you going to set up in there, 5 ? Will the room be centrally heated or are you going to heat each tank individually?

I'm thinking 5. After I get the cabinets installed I can make more accurate measurements and see how big i can I can make each tank. I'll most likely have to heat tanks individually. But I'd love to hear any ideas and input

Central heating would cut down on the wiring but this might be difficult to control for one area. I can see why a store full of tanks would prefer central heating. For 5 tanks in one room I would probably just heat them individually. The furnace and appliances might generate some heat too.
