Opinion on bulbs !

:help: I am currently running 2 175 wt cw 13000k aqualine 10000 bulbs (metal Halgen) on my 75gal reef tank. Just replace today (9-14-05) and need to restock. Opinions or suggestions would be great. What kind and what name brand to buy? Where is the best place to buy? I notice this site does not sell bulbs or I would buy from here, being a member and all

That's my guess anyway. Not sure how it answers the question though.
You should look in to Iwasaki bulbs.

I'm running 2-175 ushio 10.000k's and 2-96 wt actinic's on my 75, i can tell you where i bought mine but you'll have to e-mail me, you cant give out that info on this site.

The Aqualine bulbs require a pulse start ballast, and assuming that's what you have, I would recommend sticking with the AB 10,000K (13,000K) bulbs or trying the Ushio 10,000K. I've used both in the past, and can say that they're both great, with the AB giving off a slightly bluer light. Plus, these are the only 175W pulse start bulbs that I know of.

This is probably a dumb questions, but how can you tell if the ballast is pulse or magnetic start?
