What about Top Fathom 200A Protein Skimmer???
Does anyone heard of it???
Does it work???

Old school, big and inefficient. looks alot more impressive than they are. you have something against late model skimmers? searching (very) used?

No, but if I can find a good PS and not spend a fortune on one... It'll be nice...

Anyway, here are my options:
-ASM G3 (rated for 250g)
-Fission Recirculating 150 Current USA
-Reef Devil 175g
-Euro Reef ES 52 (rated for 150g)
-Aqua Medic TurboFlotor 1000 (rated for 250g)
-Top Fathom 200A (rated for 200g)
-Berlin Red Sea (rated for 250)
-Aqua C EV 150/180 (rated for 150-180g)
-Bubble Master BM 105 (rated for 160g)
Which one is the better for the price???

I now have a Remora, but I want to upgrade. Which is a better option for me?

IMO any of those can do the job well for you (not familiar with Current model) - I bought a Jebo 520
just to check it out and with a couple of slight mods it is outperforming my Berlin. Good luck

I just got a aquac urchin. works great. Its for in sump use but they also have the remora for out of sump. Wasn't bad in price either.

got a turbofloter from the DR's on my 180 and it does the job it supposed to do. as the bio load increases, will upgrade to ati bubble master and move the turbo to the 55

So, you suggest that the best skimmer in this range is the BM and next the TF?

I'm running a red sea berlin 220 skimmer on my 75 I like it. I have another one that I am going to use on my frag tank. its easy to tune set up and maintain havent had any problems with it yet (been running it for about 3-4 months now) the only thing I dont like is the operation adjustment is on the powerhead in the water so you have to reach in to change the setting. other than that it works like a charm

Speaking of skimmers, don't mean to steal the thread but....... Someone here saw a thread I posted about going to SPS's... They have a AquaC EV 1000 about a year old. Leaving the obsessin I think......... I know that is a real big one and the price seems fair. I just do not know a lot about a skimmer as big as this...... Are they as good as cranked up to be??
