Here's a pump I haven't tried yet...
Looking for opinions on the Little Giant 4-MDQX-SC...
Noise, realiability,heat,leakge,vibration,etc...
I'm thinking of one for the closed loop SCWD on my 210...
Looking for 1000-1200 gph from this part of the system...
Any other recomendations are welcome as well...

I guess I'm asking 'cause I was pretty sold on the Velocity Pumps and I do have a T3...Very quiet...
But now I'm hearing they may not last as long as I'd like to see...
A Jap motored Iwaki is not out of the running but I also hear the Pan world/Blueline HD is supposed to be better...I'm thinking the PW150 PS-MD55R pressure rated...
But that comes from the salesman...
Gen-X, I was told to stay away from...?

I ordered a Velocity T4...$159...
More volume than the Iwaki and Bluline (967 compared to 840 @ head) and less money $259 and $219 respectivley
Gen-X and Little Giant too noisy/vibration...but cheaper...$129
Less volume @ head 740 and 759 respectively

Thats why I asked the question...
Without going out and buying one of each to do a head to head comparison, it's kind of hard to choose...
I did a "search" in this forum and others and took the "majority" opinions on noise/heat/vibration issues
Then ran "specs" through a "Head loss Calc" to compare volume/amp draw/effenciency...
Other than a "longevity" question (Kip says his quit after 3 mos) the Velocity came out on top...
I have the T3 and know it's quiet/smooth so I'm feeling good ordering another.

Ask anyone...the one "I have is the best. I made the best choice in buying and my money was not wasted, nor poorly spent."
I have a little giant pump that I inheireted. I think that it is OK (because it is the one that I have {the only one I have ever had})
I have to oil it and it's kinda noisy( until I put some styrofoam under it), but it pumps without fail.
I do belive that you get what you pay for...to some extent.

I don't know about that...
I know that if you ask enough people you will also get responses like..."They SUCK"...."Started my living room on FIRE"..."Never get another"...
You will also find people who have had one of each...and then you can get a head to head comparison...
The final choice still remains with you (or me) whether it's based on money, brand familiarity, majority rule or recommendation from a "trusted' source...
Heck, even "I" can't own on of each... so I need to ask of others "experiance" on models I haven't tried yet...
On the other hand...If you asked about "Aqua Medic" ...I'd say they suck...but "Lifeguard" I'd say "Go for it..."
Are either of those the "Best" or the "Worst"...? No, They both pump water...One's in my sump the other I would only "trust" as far as mixing WC water... But that"s "MY" opinion...
As is everyone else's responces'...
