well i bought this stress zyme live bacteria that comes in a bottle, so far it seems to be working pretty good. the cycling has been going by lighting fast. its only week two and my parameters are all in check except maybe the pH which is at about 8.0. (BTW what can i do to raise the pH)? back to my main question, has anyone had any experience with this particular brand of live cultured bacteria? if so please post any thoughts, opions, results you have had. thanks.
PS at around 2-4 days of cycling i began noticing coralline algae growing and an outbreak of brown algae (which as far as i know the brown algae indicates high nitrates levels; ie: there was a sufficient amount of bacteria present to convert ammonia to nitrite to nitrate since this algae feeds on nitrates and phospahtes). the water i used was a premixed R/0 saltwater from my LFS and i tested for phos and had a zero reading.

anyone with any experience or advice on this stuff? im thinking of adding a small clown fish and a little more live rock to the tank. i have tons of filtration on it now as i bought an additional canister filter to add to the already existing canister filter and HOB filter/protein skimmer but i want to be sure that my tank is ready. its been about two weeks, i had a small ammonia spike about a week ago but everything is reading normal.
also any ideas on upping the pH? do i just add a pH buffer or some kind of pH up?
