ora red montipora growth

i just bought this ora red montipora and i know that you can identify growth with the white out on the edges. its been in the tank for almost a week now and im just wondering if there is any way to be able to identify if it is going good and i can expect growth.
it is under a 175 watt mh in a 29 gallon tank

trust me, if it is doing good, u will know. it is a fairly fast grower under the proper condition. place it middle to high up with good indirect flow.
