Orange sponge tree

OK, so new question for the gurus here. I have an orange sponge tree, had it for 5 months now. It is detatching from it's rock base. I know I can't re glue it, obviously, as superglue would kill the sponge tissue. What do I do? It is a beautiful specimen, about 9 inches tall and 2 full arms, and I don;t want it to completely detach and float. Any ideas?
Thanks

some one showed me how to use fishing line and a needle. and tie it snuggly to the rock i wished it to latch on to he stuck the needle through middle of the stalk and just tied it to the rock it took about a month to attach .this was a leather he was doing this to, i dont know if it work with a sponge or not. just an idea ,it did work great with the leather.
