Orange Spotted Sand Sifting Conch?

I bought this guy about 3 months ago and was listed as my thread title at the lfs. Usually he is buried in the sand so I really haven't been able to get a shot of him. He's about 2 1/2 inches long and really have no idea how big it gets. Anyone seen one of these guys before?

Not the typical shell shape for a conch, looks more like a cowrie shell shape to me. Pretty impressive looking, good luck with it.

Hmmmm, all I can pull up on that snail is info on neckelaces made out of them. I really don't think it looks like that shell though. Maybe I can get a differnt angel of it if it moves tonight.

Tyr, what is the coral above the snail in the pic?

I beleive it's just your typical club leather, club finger?

An olive shell. Very common in the Carib.

Ok, not an olive shell. The olives have a tight tip that sharply tapers. Yours has a more gradual taper. It is not a cone, which is good. Hmmm.
Try reviewing the following site. I am guessing a Miter at this point.

But it looks to be mostly a Miter.
