I just got my order from saltwaterfish.com. It consists of 10 nassarius snails, 10 turbo snails, 10 hermit crabs, 3 sally lightfoot crabs, and 2 wild percula clownfish.
The snails are not in water it says to float for 30 minutes and let go into tank. The hermit crabs are the same way. Is this okay?
I had to put the sally lightfoot crabs together in a 5gal bucket because I had no other aquarium safe container. They seemed to fight at first but now have settled down. It says to drip acclimate them for 1 hour. Is this okay?
My biggest problem is w/ my percula clownfish. After returning home from work I noticed my QT tank's temp had jump from 78 degrees to 89 degrees. I think my heater took a crapper. I decided to acclimate them to my DT. They will be the first fish in my DT. If they get sick I will have to wait 8 weeks before introducing another fish to the tank, right? I have some seachem paraguard that has instructions for dipping. Should I try this or not?
