Ok, once I get my 72 gallon FOWLR cycled and my CUC in (20 hermits, 1 porcelain crab, 10 turbo snails), I am going to add the following fish list. In what order would you guys add them? Also, just so you have all the info, my tank has 100 lbs LR, 100 lbs LS, a 20 gallon sump, Fluval 404, and Prizm Skimmer). Ok, here's the list:
(5) Green Chromises
(1) False Percula Clown
(1) Six-line Wrasse
(1) Bicolor Pseudo
(1) Pygmy Angel
(1) Auriga Butterfly
(1) Orange-spotted Blenny (Goby)
(1) Bartlett's Anthias - may leave this one out
Thanks

First of all I think clowns are cuter in pairs. Get one clown that is at least 30 to 40 percent larger than the other and put them in together. The large one will become a female, and the smaller a male. Mine took a while to bond but now they are always together. No need for an anemone for them. I would only put in three chromis as you will be better off with a lower bioload. I would switch out the pseudo for a royal gramma as they both look a lot alike but the pseudo's are very mean from what I have seen. I had one of the pseudo's that you are speaking of and had to get rid of it because it was biting at every other fish in the tank. Don't know about the order of putting them in the tank. Maybe someone else could say. All I know is you should try to put the more peaceful fish in first, and then the more agressive in last.
You should try to stock the fish at about 3 to 4 gallons of tank water (or more) per 1 inch of fish and no more. This stocking level is taking into account their full grown sizes unless you will be buying a larger tank within the next two years. Saltwater stocking levels are a lot less than freshwater stocking levels. Good luck,
Lesley

Chromis- I'm convinced small frequent feedings are in order to keep them alive long term. I also think that five is a large bio-load.
Clowns-I agree, get a pair. If you can't find different sizes get two small ones.
Six Line Wrasse- Good fish, but Wrasses tend to be bullies. Add it toward the last.
Bicolor Pseudo- I agree, go with RG instead. I suspect this and Wrasse would fight.
Angel-Needs an established tank so by default add towards end.
Butterfly- Ever planning on corals? If so, leave this fish out. Also gets large. Probably not a good choice.
Many sorts of Blennies and Gobies so not sure which this is you are referring too. If it is a burrowing goby make sure your rock is placed on bottom of tank so it can't burrow under it. Avoid sand "sifting" gobies.
Anthias are schooling fish and difficult to keep. Avoid this guy.

Thanks for the advice. Here's what I'm thinking now (in this order).
(3) green chromis
(2) false perculas or 1 tomato
(1) royal gramma or bicolor pseudo
(1) orange spotted goby
(1) six-line wrasse
(1) auriga butterfly (i won't have corals)
(1) pygmy angel (several months from now)
This leaves room for one more small fish. Any suggestions?

I think what you ahve would work. Personally I would make a small change though. I would move the goby and the 6 line before the royal gramma. I dont usually think royal grammas are agressive, but I think you have less of chance of a problem by adding it after the goby and wrasse. But your way would probably work. Overall it is a pretty peaceful selection, I wouldnt worry about picking another fish yet. In a 72, that will be a somewhat busy tank. You might be happy with it the way it is. With all the fish being peaceful, if you decide to add something at the end, it shouldnt be much of a problem.
Personally I would be nervous about the green chromis. as peaceful as everybody says they are, I have had bad experiences with them. I think I got some broken ones. They didnt know they were supposed to be peaceful. They attacked everything. And catching damsels is always fun. Good luck...
