ordered 270lbs LR what do i scrub with before tank

so during cycle i only test for ammonia and when that goes to up and back to zero then i do a 30% water change.......? and after that i can add cleanupcrew and shrimp and LS from this site.. right?

You don't need the shrimp at all since you are cycling with live rock. The dieoff on the live rock will be more than large enough to give you an ammonia spike. After the ammonia goes down to zero, do that large water change. Wait about 24 hours and test for nitrites and nitrates. Nitrites should be zero and nitrates should be close to zero. If your nitrates are not zero, you can do another water change in about three days.
Here is my opinion though (I know I'm going to get flamed). Just let your tank sit for a month. Save your test kits and just wait it out. After a month do the tests. It is almost guaranteed that your tank will be ready after a month. You should still do a water change though. This is the way I did it :)
