Well I did it...I just order my first clam. I went with the 1st grade Maxima off this site (of course) I requested delivery for Wednesday, so when I get it I will post pics
I also ordered a Chalk Basslet and umbrella mushroom for the 29g
a golden headed sleeper goby for the 54g
and another sea hare for the 225 (LOL)
My free gift is an orange linckia star. I am not sure which tank....54g or 225g
any opinions on that??? Both are establish tanks 1 year+.

Man you posted probably what 10post and 1 new thread in like a minute

Congrates, I would but the star in the 225 for a large food supply but I don't know if rays like stars.

I would say it is marginal in the 54, depending on LR. But if the larger tank is not a reef (I'm not sure?) then it may be better in the 54. How much rock is in the 54?
Watch for the chalk bass as a jumper. even with eggcrate, mine has twice found the smallest opening to get out through. I suspect eventually, he will be a goner for this reason :(

The 54 probably has 70lbs or so of live rock..
The 225 is a fish and reef, and usually has more algae.
So by what you are saying, sounds like the 225 would be better....if I read it right..LOL
On the 29g I have eggcrate, and it is covered with netting....so hopefully the chalk will not find a way out

The 225 is likely a place were it will almost certainly survive. But it doesn't eat "algae" per se. It needs lots of LR with healthy growth - which includes algae, sponges, etc.

For a Linckia, the orange is one of the best. So all considering...in a 225? You may give it the best chance it is likely to get in captivity :)
