I personally have had no complaints and have always been pleasantly surprised with quality. Have not really had any customer service issues.
SWF.com is pretty much "by email" inquiries, but the store is pretty reputable, and fair. Your online treatment with them is likely to be more satisfying than any LFSs, since most LFSs offer no guarantees once you walk out the door.

2 years ago I had 2 shipments of around $300 each. Heniochus A. in fact. The first, one fish came in w/ich and died ( I didn't ask for the refund, it happens ) the second shipment was all OK. BTW, they were easy to talk to about questions about stuff via E-mail, they answered MUCH faster than other on line suppliers. They have cool boxes.........

I have ordered from SWf several times and haven't had any problems whatsoever. I have had to use the 15 day gaurantee twice. The staff were very quick to reply to my emails and gave me my credits without any hassle. I like that their shipping is basically free too, usually that's what will stop me from placing orders with other suppliers, their ridiculous shipping fees.

I've ordered about 12 fishes from them.Not all at the same time.
All arrived alive and stayed alive.They are all doing well,surprisingly even the difficult species-evansi and purple queen anthias.

I've ordered several times and they're great. The things that did die, they honored thier guarentee. Only problem now is that they dont have things in stock I really want! Or can't get the size I want. I've ordered from another site as well.....sad to say but I like them both equally and didnt think I'd go so far as to say that.
Sooo.....both have thier pluses and minuses so between them I got it made! Happy ordering.

My only complaint is the “free shipping” comment. For each order they charge you a $10.00 “surcharge” and then another $10.00 “fuel charge”. That’s $20.00 for EVERY order you place. So they offer you “free” shipping and then charge you $20.00 to ship it.
It’s like 1970’s style advertising. Mark-up everything in your store by 25% and then have a 20% off sale!!! But some people see “free shipping” and they don’t look at anything else.
Having said that, I have compared my order totals to other on-line store for the identical items and found them all to be within a few dollars of each other. The reason why I choose to order from SWF is because of this forum. It can’t be free for them to host it, and so I show my appreciation by placing orders to support them for it. It is a great tool for everyone to use and I appreciate them allow us to use it.
One other thing about them….after you place a few orders, they will give you a choice of free fish or inverts, depending on your order amounts. Kind of neat thing to do….
