Ordering my clean up crew

my cycle has been done and my parameters are looking good. What do you think of this cuc. The tank is a 75 and planned to be reef.
4 cerith snails
2 Nass snails
4 margarita snails
4 nerite snails
What do you think? to little or to much? Or something else. Also I have a good amount of diatoms on the rocks and sand even a lil' on the glass. But would I have to supplement anything immediatly for food like in the sand bed or wait?

That clean up crew will not be near enough for a 75 gallon tank. Are there any fish in the tank? If you have live rock and already have some algea growing you shouldnt have to feed the clean up crew.

Alex there are no fish in the tank yet. Do you think I should start with more? If so. What type shud I get more of?

No, that crew is perfect. You have no real algae, and no detritus yet. If you buy too many, they will die from lack of food. Let your tank stabilize and mature.

You could safely double that CUC to begin with. And then double it again in another month or two.
Did someone say HERMITS?!?!?!

I disagree here. Why order a huge clean up crew with nothing to clean up? Hermits will happily kill snails or eat snails that are dying from no natural food to eat.

If he just cycled he should have plenty of diatoms to feed off of. Plus, now's the time to add his first fish as well. 12 snails is very few snails for a 75g tank to begin with.
Hermits always kill snails if they're big enough... big deal. It's a way of life.
And 2 Nassarious snails for a 75g tank... I don't care if it did just cycle. They won't put a dent in anything. Bottom line, add some CUC and add your first fish (least aggressive of what you plan to keep).

Most inverts do NOT feed off of diatoms, common misconception. Very few will even touch them. The rest will die from lack of food that they will eat.

Every turbo & hermit I ever owned removed diatoms from my tank after it cycled. But hey, I probably got lucky and was shipped the only ones on earth that do it.

I am not going to argue about this. Hermits are hardy critters. I have had turbos die, I have helped MANY people who have had turbos and other inverts die because of a new system. Why tell someone to buy more right now? I don't get it. I have told countless people to wait on the "full fledged clean up crew" until their tank is ready. I have never had a person tell me that I was terribly wrong and the tank became over run by algae. Diatoms only last for a short time. Many inverts will not eat them. The CUC can be built up over time, when the algae that they actually live off, of can be consumed.

I'm not going to argue about this. Who mentioned anything of a "full fledged clean up crew"?
Doubling the very small amount of CUC he had listed isn't anywhere near a "full fledged clean up crew." I mean, 2 nassarious snails??? So he gets 4!! Whoopty Dooo!! LMAO.
Funny man! Real funny!

Suggest as you may. Were you suggesting just two more Nassarius snails? That I would have no problem with. They clean the sand.

sounds like a good list..if u feel like the snails are not doing much..add a couple of turbo snails and go from there..u don't really want a huge clean up crew cuz with good water quality..u won't have abundance of agle for them to feed on as ur tank matures..

I think you should add hermits, they are the most entertaining cleaners to watch in my tank, i just ordered a huge clean up crew online to add to my one i already had.
I bought 30 small hermits, 20 cerith, 10 nass, snails, 10 turbo grazers, 7 cerith snails, a beautiful harlequin serpent star, emerald crab, and a porcelain crab. My tank is full of critters!
