I wouldn't go so far as to say Newton's performance was one of the best in the history of the game, stats don't back that claim up. He's only 10th in total offense. Reggie Bush wasn't the best player in the nation, he was the most exciting to watch which is what the Heisman is all about. They can call it what they want but it's just a beauty contest.

I think if Auburn wins Newtie is gone for sure. If Oregon lays down a 42-13 smack down he'll be back, unless of course he's worried about more dirt to be found.

I thought Bradford was likley the last young gun to get paid the big bucks and saleries were going to be performance based from now on?
