Welcome to the board. I dont know much about these corals but it could be due to ur water quality. Do a water change. Good luck

I've never kept any of the pipe organs(tubipora musica ) myself but as a rule they are reported to be very hardy and adapt well to different lighting sources. They may prefer a moderate current...and some sources report they are prone to brown jelly infections. I've also heard that they prefer nutrient rich systems so its possible a heavily skimmed system may adversely affect them. How long have you had yours? Have you made any recent changes in lighting and/or circulation? Have you recently added a new skimmer or has your skimmer recently increades its removal of gunk? Many factors can possibly be contributing to your problem ... without additional info it may be difficult to determine the source of your problems...but...welcome to the forum and best of luck.

My lighting hasn't changed in 7 years 3 175 m/h 10,000 k 2 vho I have a wave maker,I do water chages every two weeks, Kh 300, ph 8.5 1.021 and my temp 76. I have frag this pipe organ multipal times and the frags are doing great. I feed Dts 2 wekly and the other supliments one weekly. This piece is about a 1 1/2 year old and is about the size of a basketball. I see no sign of brown jelly, and the polyps are not dead. They just will not open. Mybe a lugal wash will do them good who knows. Back to the drawing board I guess.
