I have some bad news. Today my we took my dog to the vet because she seems very bloated. Well it turns out that her abdomen is full of fluid. Her heart is enlarged. We are gonna put her on some medicine put it will just help for a little while. The vet says we can expect 6months - 1 year. I am very sad.:(

hey everyone..we have had a pearlscale butterfly in a tank for a while and we decided to add a blue tang...now the butterfly looks like it is gonna die??!! Could this have been caused by the tang?? thanks

Why is the the above reply in this thread. I certainly hope that was a mistake.
I had a sick dog once too, it was really tough to see him deteriorate. I'm sorry. :(
Dogs are very good companions and teachers.

It really sucks to have someone or something you love so much die. In the last 2 years, I've had 3 cats die. It's very tough. But hang in there, and remember, you're not alone, we've all been through it at some time. I like to think that it was God's decision for things to happen, and that the death of a family pet makes room for another pet from the local shelter to be given a good life. I"m so sorry this had to happen to you. I will pray for you and your beloved pet. :(

We had to put our cocker to sleep after 15 yrs, It really upset my father they were best friends. Although I will tell you I surprised about 7 months later by telling him for fathers day I was buying him a new dog. We got a beagle, he is a demon but we love him. Even though new pets will fill the void nothing can ever replace your first family pet. good luck, doctors are never right on time frames though he could live a few more years. ;)

Thanks guys. All this really means alot to me. We are gonna spoil her rotten. This weekend were taking her up to my grandparents so she can chase cows and have fun running around the ranch.

If it helps any, my vet gave my cat 6 months to live, and he lived for almost a year after he was diagnosed with cancer in the throat. Remember, bad as it may sound, the death of a beloved family friend makes room for another to thrive and have a better life than he may have without you. Hence the signature on my posts. Be strong, and know we're all with you. *lots of hugs*

Spoil her rotten. Take tons of pictures. And treasure each second with her.
May God and Jesus smile upon you all. :)
