OT- Any Parrot People Out There?

I love cockatoos, I used to have a couple of Pink and Greys, but a nasty cat saw to that, and now I have Sulfer Crested Cockatoo the coolest. He talks a little, but man he makes me laugh so much. Its a pity about the many plants he goes through in the garden and all the furniture with bite marks. Mum gets quite

Their just my parrots I also have a Bul-Bul finche 4 white java finches a parakeet a red factor canary and a yellow nape( who I didnt include because he hates me).The grey can only say its name,Billy,the goffin can say 5 things and its only1 year old finally the yellow nape can speak some Italian

When I was younger I took in a large south american parrot. A bit smaller than a cockatoo, green feathers with purple and yellow streaks in them... pretty cool, never knew what the species was. It was given to me by a lady with a bunch of kids who TERRORIZED THE BIRD!!!
Tried being friendly, tried wearing gloves and taking my time, tried for nearly 7 months... never once would let me go near its cage, or not try and attack me when I fed him. Just gave him to a breeder in Toledo, Ohio... bird was just plain MEAN.
Had a cool cockatiel that could say a few words though!

Sounds like you have a bird simular to mine. He gets a little bowl of what ever we are having. Mine is Triton Cockatoo.

I have a 18 month old blue and gold macaw named Isabelle. and MAN is she a handful! she can talk some, she mummbles and fusses while trying to talk. she can say "isabelle", and "what" and she says my name, "lauren" and "good morning isabelle" and she screams my name when i leave her alone in the room. she mostly talks in the morning, he will try to repeat anything you say to her, and she is getting quite good at it! i have had her a little before she was weaned. she is my baby!

Sounds like my conure(Shes 2yrs by the way). She's starting to say "Kisses", "what" and screams when I'm out of sight. I think it's because she is always in view of me and my fiancee being in the livingroom. So when she doesn't see us she gets alarmed. Just a bad habit I think.
