Hello all, well I have my fish tank so now I am getting into birds. I currently have 2 parakeets in a fairly small cage. I am looking to buy a cage that can house a few small birds (giveing them plenty of room to play) and any good websites for bird lovers. I am very new to birds and want to treat them right!!! So if you have a cage that you are willing to sell please let me know!!!
THanks

I raised birds (big ones) for many years. Email me if you would like to discuss your setup and your goals for this avian adventure. A bit easier than keeping reef tanks or horses! :D

Hey Cindy. What kind of birds?
I have a B+G macaw, DYH amazon, and a Congo Grey, they stare at the Reef all day,

Cockatoos: Moluccans, Greater Sulfer Cresteds and briefly, a pair of Umbrella's
Macaws: B & G, Scarlet and for a short time, Hyacinth (was kept singly, but due to scarcity of this breed he went into a breeding program where he still lives happily. These birds were too expensive for me to attempt breeding at that time. Noisy as hell too, as are all big birds).
Amazons: DYH, BF
Cockatiels: Don't even recall how many...
Also: Turquoisines, Princess of Whales, Rosellas and some other of the smaller breeds.
Many were housed in outdoor aviaries, but the really expensive ones were kept inside as a loss prevention measure. Had more than one "bird room"! Wasn't married at that time, so spread the birds out all over the house. I took them on car rides (the pets...not the breeders) and trips to the park. They even went grocery shopping with me. California is full of weirdos, so I fit in well there at that time! :D
The large parrots outlive their human owners in so many cases. One of the only pets we humans can have that will outlast us!
I am currently birdless. Just gave away 6 of them last week. I'll get a few others one of these days. Maybe turquoisines again. Incredibly beautiful and relatively easy (and comparatively quiet) to care for.
We just got two new 4 wheeled toys to play with, so for now the birds are on the back burner (so to speak)!

I have a congo african grey that I have to find a new home for due to the new baby, he/she not dna'd likes to keep the baby up. Great bird but just too loud for the baby.

I have a very sweet and spoiled Timneh African Grey Parrot, Thank god she is not a screecher. She is quite the singer though. She makes up her own compositions all the time, kind of like a jazz vocalist. It is soo funny. She also sing real songs too. Tonight she was singing 'Hi-ho, hi-ho its off to work we go...', while we were eating dinner.
Here are some sites that I order food and supplies from. I got my cage new off of ----. It it a great cage, and I paid a super cheap price on it 'cause no one noticed the auction and I bid at the last minute.
