I hear border collies, and jack russel terrier's are the smartest and easiest dogs to train. Was it easy to train the dogs for y'all?

nope no blood just good ole west texas dirt. more clay and sand mix than anything LOL
they are very playful , energetic, smart, and easliy trained.
they are also very very protective of family and people that they are around.
the one thing with BC is that they are breed herders and will try to herd anything including other dogs. The one a friend of mine has herds hes kids if they start going somewhere that they shouldnt to turn them around. very intesting to watch.
here is west Texas they are one of the main cattle dogs (and heelers) they use here.

this is my collie mix stetson. the best dog ever!! don't we all think that. border collies tend to be easy to train, but hard to discipline because they are so timid. when stetson used to get into trouble he would hide in the raspberry bushes, and wouldn't come out for hours.

fishkiller, loosing a dog is like loosing a family member, good luck with the new companion. wish they lived as long as we do.

here is Max he weighs right at 85pounds now
Do Border Collies get that big, or is he just a chubby boy? He's a pretty cute pup.
These are some great dog pics! Wish I lived in a place I could keep them...but I think the 2nd floor apartment would make them mental!

he is a solid mass of muscle his daddy was bigger than him. I had never seen them this big either but I have papers on him and his background history and he is a pure boder collie he really surprised me. As I was takeing to the vet during the first shots he was gaining about 15-20 pounds each time. massive growth for him LOL
