OT: Florida Lobster Season

Hey everyone, I just had a quick question. Lobster season in Florida starts on Aug. 6th and I am planning a trip down to the Keys. This is my first time going lobstering, and the first time I will be diving in the keys. I was wondering if anyone has been diving in the keys and/or has been lobstering there. I want to find a good place to charter a boat and a good hotel to stay at. I have been looking online and found a few diveshops, but I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions. BTW, for all those divers out there have a good Memorial Day weekend! I know I'm going to try to get in at least 3 or 4 dives! THANKS!

I go to the Keys quite a bit, depends on where your going? I spend almost all my time from Island Morada and up. Early lobster season is July 25 & 26.

Hey maui,
I am not quite sure where to go. I just started really looking into it. I heard of the early season, but I wanted to stay more then 2 days and plus my girlfriend can't go that weekend. So where is the best location for lobstering? I am definately looking for good dive sites and good lobsters spots.

Alot of the time I do really well in the canals leading out to the ocean. Alot of rock work and creaves for them to hide in some of the canals they. I do most of my diving in Key Largo and Taverier. They're really easy to get at night and there are few boats out then.
