OT: Fortran 'write' command

hey all...i'm futzing with some code here and i figured with this big resource of online folk, most likely one or two of you are also computer geeks...my problem is i can remember there is a write command in fortran that forces fortran to write at each time 'write' is called rather than writing at intervals dependent on the size of items in memory. it's not 'write' or 'print'...i thought it was something you tag onto 'write'. anyone recall?
thanks,
leigh

lol, yeah, well with coding in fortran i'm potentially starting a new 'man am i old' type thread :)...but it's old, trusty, stable, and most importantly--> the govt agencies i need to deal with all still use it :D

Sorry no fortran here
C,C++, Java, ASP, ColdFusion, php, perl,,CGI, Visual Basic, Cobol
If I had to guess your looking for a flush routine. It should have one built in but Im not sure with fortran. basically you want it to flush the write buffers to the screen and start over.

A few things to check if you dont have photoshop. make sure its 72dpi (fine for web bad for printing) and make sure you save it as a .gif or .jpg . try both and see which comes out smaller most likely .jpg but without seeing the image its hard to say.
If you have photoshop choose file save for web.

sorry only VB, ASP and Java here. try a math major, that was the only school in my college that still taught fortran.
