P.s. If your ever in San Diego in the summer go to the La jolla cove and check out the tide pools.Thats what really inspired me to put a reef in my living room.

Ha, this is a pretty interesting topic so I guess i'll add in my 2 cents. My name is Eric, and i'm a 20 year old college guy majoring in biochem. I working in a lab for a miserly 7.50/hour, so keeping up my 75 gal reef is taking all my funds..its worth it though. Hopefully i can procure a job at the local lfs. DISCOUNTS HERE I COME
P.s. im not a dork, but i am attempting to study my way into the image

Well, I'm 14, 15 on June 7th. For a living I am a student, but I'm starting my own company, TMaN Industries. I plan on licensing the patent rights to 4 of my products to different companies, 2 of which will help in the SW hobby.
Hey Patrick, I was in La Jolla at Christmas time, and went to Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institute. I know it's somewhere around there, so I thought I'd mention it. What do you think of it. I like the "Hands On" area outside, and also the "Shark Tank" those are the best features. Now that I am somewhat educated I get mad thinking about all of the chances I've had to check stuff out, trips to Hawaii's reefs, Cayman Islands, etc. I'm so mad. Is it my fault I was too young? Man I love reefing!

Name is Chad, 22 (today :D ) I love my 2 month old 55gal Reef!! I am married (1 yr July 14) no kids, and 2 Mini Daschounds (Chili & Riley) I work fulltime at SeaRay Boats and I am also a fulltime student majoring in Computer Info Systems.. (Only lack 2 yrs.. :( )
What Busy lives we live eh?

Well I guess I can jump on the band wagon too. My name is Andy, 40 years old, and am a mechanic at a Cadillac Dealership. I am pretty new to SW, but have been doing FW for quite awhile. SW is much better IMO. Can't take the money with you so might as well spend it on a reef tank!

My name is Matt and am 24. I work with my Dad as a auto mechanic. He started the business around the time I was born. It started out as a custom harvesting operation which my grandfather began. I enjoy the electronic diagnosis and trouble shooting aspect of the industry which is what our shop specializes at. I got married to my wonderful wife 9 months ago. She works at a hospital in the medical records dept. Enjoy the outdoors and staying active. Played soccer until I was 22. Rock climb and wake board.
God, family, friends.

Hi my name is DJ I am 24 and I am a welder at a office furniture manufacturer. Let me tell you welding for 10 hrs a day is no fun but the pay is good. Wished I lived somewhere else like florida or california. I like doing anything outdoors and I like working out. I live right by the mississippi river but it's nothing compared to the ocean (that I've never seen) Anyway grtting into the sw hobby and loving it. Hope to get to know you all better.

My name is Jacqui, husband is Tom. We are 48, I'm a nurse in the OR and Tom is an engineer. We have 3 boys in college. Have been into SW for 6 months and love it. In our spare time we garden and have a 25' sailboat. We live on the NC coast, parents are retired at the beach. We recently started a reef club in our area. We are active at church, Tom is a deacon and runs the sound board, I sing in the chior and what ever else needs to be done. We don't have a pug, but we do have a chocolate lab, a sheltie and a lahsa ahpsa. We started with a 55 gallon to get our youngest son out of his room more and now have 4 aquariums. (2) 105 gal, a 55 gal and a 46 gal bow front. All were deals we could not pass up. Our son took his tank back and now has it set up with local fish (but he kept it in the den).
My job is to do the research and gather all the facts, Tom does the plumbing and equipment maintenance and we both enjoy them.
Funny thing is, we took a bible study about 9 months ago to enrich our marriage because we knew the boys would all be gone soon and we would be spending more time together. God gave us a hobby we both enjoy as an answer to our prayers. God is good...all the time.

OK, since I seem to be posting here more these days, I'll chime in as well. I'm a 33-year-old, ex-basketball player who now practices medicine. I'm an Internist in Hammond, Louisiana. For those that don't know, that's primarily a doctor that specializes in adult medicine. I send people to ky to cut on. ;) Married for a looong time with 4 boys, ages 7,6, and a set of fraternal twins that are about to be 3 next week. My hobbies outside of the money pit known as Reef tanks are Restoring Classic British roadsters, still playing hoops, reading (fantasy mainly, help maintain a Tolkien site online) and playing with my kids. ;) And this is a pic ofall of us.
