OT:New tank, what should I do with it.

I have got a new tank and do not know what to do with it.
It is 40 gallons.
I sort of want to do a seahorse tank but don't know if I want that much work.
I also want to do a freshwater planted tank.
Or a saltwater fowlr.
Or a Narragansett Bay tank where I will collect specimens and rock from Narragansett Bay. My Biology teacher did this and it was a spectacular display.
Or I want to wait when I get a job and go all out crazy with a reef tank. MH bulbs, tons of watts with lr, coral, clams and more.
What should I do I am so confused.
Please help.

Make either a:
Seahorse tank like you know you really want. :D
A small community FOWLR tank.
A REEF tank.
An invert tank.
Some type of breeding tank.
A quarantine tank.
A think tank.
A gas tank.
An Army tank.
A get tanked.
A give it to hairtrigger tank. :D

Narragansett bay tank is the only thing you probably couldn't do with a 40 gallon tank. The bottles would be o.k.,but the cans would hurt your water quality. The car tires would not fit either.

Hey not funny! Goldrush, your just jealous you don't live on the Bay.;)
Yeah so what some areas are polluted, like Providence. I am talking more in the areas of Jamestown and Wickford. Although some areas of Wickford are also polluted.
How about this. found this doing a project on Pollution:
Since 1983, municipal sewage treatment plants have reduced their toxic releases to the Bay by more than 90 percent. Over 42,000 acres (30 percent) of Rhode Island¹s shellfish beds are either permanently or partially closed due to sewage related contamination from inadequately disinfected wastewater.
It is mostly the Warwick area that you have to worry about E. Coli
Or what about a jellyfish tank.

i wouldn't do the freshwater planted...otherwise a year from now you'll be buying a 20 gal, selling off the freshwater guys you can part with, putting the others in the 20, turning the 40 into a reef tank, and feeling guilty that you neglect the freshwater guys and you're gourami is always giving you this puppy dog "you don't love me anymore" look while you run out of money building a reef tank instead...oh wait, that was me :) seriously though, just bite the bullet and go salty, it's just cooler.
