Ok, I have seen a few of you guys on the website posting your email addresses. But when you post it you add NOSPAM. The tell the people to remove no spam, or in rolangunsligers case Diespammers! LOL. I hate spam , i get enough of it as is. Does this help??

Some won't look at the email address carefully, and will just cut and paste it into an address book, or mailing list. Adding this keeps the mail from ever reaching you.

Aarone - no they use a program called a spider - it basically cruises throughout the net looking for what ever data the user of the program would like - a lot of search engines use the same type of technology.
This site isn't as important to enter the NOSPAM simply because the message board is within the site, if this was a message board that was hosted seperately (try going to google and type your user name here - it shouldn't return any results - if you frequent any other message boards it may return those sites) Regardless whenever you post your email address in a public forum it is a good idea to use some type of break in the address that is obvious to a "real" sender.

if you wanna talk about spam, you can get some help from me =) i work for ---- and our spam killer software, filters anywhere from 60-90% of emails daily. on average... half a million junk emails each day.
most isp have filtering systems for this. if you continue to get loads of spam, you should think about changing your isp or email service providers. they key to keep yourself from spam...
1. dont sign up for sweepstakes or prizes etc... all it is, is a email collecting engine.
2. dont use simple email address like "john@swf.com", spammers have software to randomly send out messages to typical email addresses.
3. never reply to a spam email, if you do... all your doing is confirming that your email address is valid to them.
4. when you get an email with links you dont know. dont click on it, once you click on it... it will take you to a website and you'll end up confirming your email address to that site. also, since last year... many people have been infected of viruses by visiting a virus embeded website. so, if it's suspicious... dont bother with it.
5. when you get emails with "remove me from mailing list", dont click on it. 60% of the time, theyll continue to spam, since its a valid address.
*once the spammer knows an email address is valid, they compile it and sell those email address to other spammers. thats how it all works....

I found out I could go to startmail.com and delete there before they got to my box.

Melissa, i work for ----... when doing your bididing on ----. It is important that you read their feedback ratings. trust me... we are doing everything to banned the dead sellers/bidders. once they are banned, they cannot create an account on ----, FOR LIFE.
there is 24/7 customer service... if you are feel comfortable with the seller, just ask them to give you a few pointers.
