OT: Oscar's new home

THAT COULD'VE BEEN USED FOR SW!!! No, really, it looks good. What type of Oscar? I know I've always been itching to set up a 125 with a family of the White Oscars. They're cool small, but get ugly as they age, so I decided against it. I see you're studying World Mythology as well? You know it's only a myth that fish don't like to be kept in aquariums, thanks to all of the fine members of SWF.com. Man, I love fish.

man that brings back memories! i feel like i haven't set up a FW tank in forever! i guess it's only been...woah wait... it HAS been forever, it's been a year! ah, good times, good times. what size tank is that he's moving into? (notice in my sig I also have oscars, one tiger, one ruby, both a little less than 1 and 1/2 years old, both around 11" and still very pretty)

Thanx everybody! He's a red Oscar and it's a 75 gallon. Originally, the tank was meant for sw but I quickly learned that this little bitty fish I bought without asking too many questions gets VERY big. So now I'm going to give him a bigger and better home and wait til I have money and get another tank just for that (bigger I hope :p ). My Oscar is such a pretty fish, here's a pic I took of him recently:

Aaaahhhh, I missed the comment on World Mythology. I'm not actually studying it, it's just a deep personal interest and it's quite unfortunate that my school doesn't seem to offer any classes related to it. :( That giant book is something I bought and read end to end early last year. I am still debating between staying at my college now and graduating as a marine biologist, or going to another college and getting a degree in Egyptology. :)

Yeah, there is a guy at my Dad's lab that started out as a Marine Biologist and was at Scripps, but changed and became a Biotech Engineer. I've also got a friend who's really into Egyptology, LOL, it's a funny word, like Fishology. :D

IMO, i like Tiger Oscars, they have brilliant color, and it doesnt fade with age, mine is 3 years old, and he is one of the cooliest fish i own. try feeding them some huge night crawlers, mine just sucks them in. They remind me of bass...
