I am a Fire Fighter for the Air Force. I have been in military for 12 years with the first 6 as a member of the 82nd Airborne. I got tired of being all I could be so I aimed high and went into the Air Force.
I will VERY soon be deploying overseas. I just wanted to give a big thanks to all of you who have taken the same oath as me and are willing to protect this great nation at all cost.
To all of your non-military people please remember that there is someone who is often forgotten and not giving the credit they deserve. It is the spouse/family of the military member. My wife and the wife of others have had to sacrifice almost as much as we have ourselves. Besides the support and comfort they give us they must also take care of the bills, kids, pets, tanks and a bunch of other problems that only seem to come up when we are deployed. They do all of this while knowing that we are in harms way. So to all of you military spouses/families I want to say thanks for your great service and sacrifice. Please everyone the next time you see someone who has a spouse or family member in the military give them a little praise for what they do.
