get some damsels. they add color and activity. You wont be upset when he eats them. He will eat them. These things are a species only animal in captivity. They will eat everything.

i had kept damsels with mine for a while till he ate them obviously lol..also for cleaning scraps i had a large starry crab with him for a yr or so till he ate him also lol
damsels are ur best bet they are cheep in comparison and very fast not an easy catch for an eel.. if you keep him well fed he may let them live longer , unless they anoy him

the only other life in the aquarium i see are bristle worms! are bristle worms bad for my eel?i know the clean up, but will they bite or irritate my tessy?

you do know this thing will grow to about 6 feet and rip off a finger or 3 when fully grown? It will require a 10 foot long tank. 500 gallons to house it correctly. It will eat fish bigger than you could ever could imagine it could. If it doesnt eat all of it in one bite it will rip it apart until it eats it.

ok! forget the anemones i dont have the light levals for those.
Add some Pom Pom Xenia, I just added some in my DME tank and it really looks nice. The claims are it will thrive in a high Nitrate/Phos tank and under PC lights.
Perfect for an eel tank. See pictures attached (not mine).
