Just to inform my fellow aquarist, whenever you stick your hand into your tank, don't just watch out for the lion and eels. I thought my p. puffer was harmless till he took a good bite on my finger. Drew a little blood but it was my ego that was more hurt than anything else. Anybody else been as careless as me?

Believe it of not, whenever I clean my aquarium glass or the rock (I have a little hair algae) my lawnmower blenny, Jose, bites me repeatedly......everytime it scares the crap out of me and makes me sooo angry. He is such a little (insert chosen expletive here). He has sharp little teeth too.....makes me happy they stay pretty small.

Yeah, and its not unusual for puffers to use that beak on slow, flowing lion fish fins.

I was 'petting' my puffer once and he bit me(lesson learned!). My jerk reaction happened so fast he got pulled right out of the tank. He must've liked it out there cause he eventually died via carpet surfing a few months later :/

Well this is not SW but my sand dweller from my FW tank will latch onto my knuckle like a pit bull and shake without letting go. Hes only half an inch long too.

I have a 5 inch ish maroon clown that attacks whenever i put my hand in the tank. She is more mean and aggressive than my niger trigger whom is about an inch and a half larger than her.

My 12" Jack Dempsey attacks me every time I stick my hand in to clean. He has a mate of 3 years in with him and seems to be irrationally jealous. It's like getting pinched with sandpaper.
