Ok, I'm going to journal the setup of this thing. I filled it today and took some rock and polyps out of my 210g to populate it. I'm going to rockscape it tomorrow when the dust settles a little more. So here are a couple of pics of it now:
All lights:

Actinics:

More to come.

Ok, things have settled down a bit so I've taken a couple more pics. Inhabitants currently include:
1 True Perc
1 True Perc - Misbarred
1 Cleaner Shrimp
5 Nassarious Snails
10 Turbo Snails
20 Red leg hermits
Here are some pics with just actinics on:

I'll post more when the daylight bulbs come on. I'll be moving some frogwpawn, trumpet and a green hairy mushroom frag over later today.

Thanks. My locline pieces will be here today so I can arrange the flow better and move some LPS and softies over.

I just added another 36w PC light to my 29g Biocube. I ordered the kit from nanotuners.com and it makes a real difference. Here a shot with all 3 lights on:

Sure did. I had an Aquaclear 301 laying around so I just clipped it on to the back wall. It's allowing me to split the flow coming from the chamber pump so I can have 3 directions of flow.

Hey Steve, I just started my 29 biocube and was wondering what you did for filtration  Did you keep it stock or did you add something else :notsure:
Thanks, Josh

I have a 14g Biocube and was wondering about adding another PC light and I heard about the nanotuners website. Were you able to just add the additional light to the same hood, or did you have to buy a new hood and all?

ZJ - I took all of the bioballs out and removed the carbon filter. I then filled both chambers up with live rock. I did not alter the stock pump but I did add an aquaclear 301 powerhead. This allowed me to get more flow in the tank but not have to increase the flow running over the live rock filter.
Xokar - The light change from nanotuners.com was fairly simple. You don't have to buy a new hood, you just have to modify the one you have. Just order the upgrade kit for the 14g biocube and it comes with everything you need.

Thanks for the update Steve...I also added more flow in the tank itself with a Rio 800 and some of that cool flex-joint tubing. I have some pictures floating around here somewhere on this site. Do your rocks in the back get any light? Do they need it? What about little critters back there to clean up? Thanks
