I have an experimental tank outside of my house.
Do not worry, I am no fish killer for it only has LR, snails and a few Hermit Crabs.
Its around 60 Gallons.
Every other day I leave it uncovered for the entire day so that the sunlight could go in threw the top. The sides are covered.
I know sunlight causes algae, and that problem seems to be taking care of with a huge Bio Ball homemade filter I made.
Ever since my water is clear and the sides of the tank do not get a bit of green on them, before that it was all green.
WHAT I AM REALLY LOOKING FOR is, what I do not know, what else can the sun do? Harmful or benifitial.
Is rainwater really bad, because some leaks in sometimes?
I know I would need a chiller if I want to keep fish there, but I don't look foward to keeping fish in there, for I have enough room in my other tanks, but I may try one day if I need to experiment on a fish.
IF IT IS CONVINIENT, I will experiment on a fish or fish behavior or if 2 certain fish get along with each other for other board members in that tank.
So let me know, about my outside experimental tank..
