i'm cycling my tank (on my 3rd week now) and i just recently got a canopy put on w/ two 48" bulbs and a icecap 430 ballast...when i leave them on for a couple hours...they started to heat my tank..by about 3 or more degrees.
i used to be into car audio and i had some of these fans left over (2) 4.65" square.

i took a AC/DC converter and mounted them pushing air into the canopy...and wow!!! a total of 212 cu ft per minute...keeps it pretty cool!
i highly suggest using those fans...super quiet as well!

only caution is to be sure they are capable or working/operating in a highly humid environment.
