I have a 20 Gallon Tall Nano which has been set-up since January of '03.
Equipment:
1 Workhorse 7 Ballast
2 75 Watt URI Bulbs ( 1 10K and 1 50/50)
1 13 Watt PC set-up (6500/actnic 03)
1 Tetratec HOB filter w/heater cartdridge
1 160 gph powerhead
2 mini-jet powerheads
Substrate (live filtration):
4" DSB - mixture of Silicate play sand and Southdown Play Sand
10 Pounds of Hawaiian Island Base Rock
10 pounds of homemade Aragocrete
15 pounds of Live Rock
2 stalks of Halimeada (money plant) - trimmed monthly
Inhabitants:
1 Percula - tank bred - Mr. Pepper (Mrs. Salt passed away)
1 CLown Goby (Green w/red Bars) - Goby Green
1 Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp - Whiskers
2 Peppermint Shrimp - Both named Sam
1 Green/Mithrax Crab
1 Banded Serpent Star - Stripes
Margarita Snails
Cerith Snails
Strombus Snails
Stomatella Snails
Astrea Stars
Bristle Worms
Pods
Corals:
Multiple Hairy Mushrooms
1 Large colony of Bright Green Trumpet/Candy Cane Coral
1 Small frag of red and green candy cane
1 Bubble Coral (saved coral)
1 Blastomussa Wellsi coral (started as frag)
2 Blue and red Striped mushrooms
1 Blue mushroom (looks more red than I'd like)
1 Bright Red Shroom
1 Orange Monti. Cap (hithchiker)
Zoanthus - variety (maroon on red, YEllow on Brown, Yellow on Orange, blue on blue and blue on green)
1 Green Star Polyp Frag
1 Yellow Polyp Colony
1 Branching Hammer Coral (save me coral - not looking good)
Several Stalks of Xenia
1 Kenya Tree frag (still pretty small)
Schedule:
feed: Flake, Frozen Brine, Frozen Omnivore, Raw Shrimp and Phyto plankton (phyto twice a week) Never feed the same food two days in a row and never feed more than 3 days in a row.
Water Changes: Change Water once a month - 2-6 gallons per change
Run Carbon and change the filter 2 weeks after water change
Continual water drip of plain fresh water.
Dosing Schedule - I don't dose.

yeah, nice tank. i love your choices of coral(all my favorites). nice job giving a kick start to posting on this forum. my attempt failed:nope: . maybe there is hope now:yes: .

Great tank OA and a great idea.
I'm suprised you don't have to use kalkwasser or dose to maintain calc and alk levels. Also, how long have you had the clown goby and where does it spend most of it's time?

Searcher - I rarely dose and I use hte halimeda growthto monitor calcium levels - if it starts slowing I check cal/alk. Otherwise water changes keep the levels pretty even. I do not have calcium loving corals ....for the most part it is keeping hte water quality steady and paying attention!!
The clown goby perches in the upper left portion of the tank ... on the powerhead and mostly on the candy cane/trumpet coral that is there.

hey that looks like my tank!!
I am getting ready to move that tank into my living room and intoa 29 gallon tank .... once it is moved I will be ready for some frags!! let me know when you have some stuff and I will be more than ready to get my hands on some of your stuff!!
Also - nice to see you back in here!!

ain't that the truth - it is a sony dsc700 - really fancy and every once in a while I get a killer picture .. but I think it is a lot of luck involved!!

Tank looks great. i have a 20 that i can only hope to look that good. keep up the good work....post more pics too!!!!
