i've had a 90dt set up for quite a while. for the longest time i've been battling micro bubbles in the fuge. yesterday i rescaped and a friend asked why there was so much air traveling down the return line along with the water,i thoght this was normal.i used 1"clear line for the return with a ball valve in the middle.i did purchase a megaflo-overflo kit ,when i first set it up i think they call it a durso style return.MYSTERIOUSLY i looked at it that night and only water was returning...no air. can anyone tell me how this happened? and if air and water mix again how can i fix it?? micro bubbles are almost non-existent now. thanx in advance...walt

Its the funnel type spiraling action of the water that captures the air in the water. A durso/standpipe stops the spiraling action of the water.

i just noticed that the return pipe in the tank overflo is completely submerged. it's a megafflo overflo .i'm sure many of you run the same type. my ? is at the top of the tube is a 90 and above that is a piece with a small hole. even the part with the small hole is under water . is this ok or not ? it seems to be working ok but i don't wnt a flood in my living room.

Sometimes a air pocket can get caught in the hose between over flow & sump. which will cause the DT & overflow box to over fill. Does the DT appear to be overfilling?

Sure, make sure the hole is cleared on top of durso pipe.
You can also shut pump off in sump for 15 seconds or so to let water level drop in DT. Shutting pump off can also remove air trapped in line between overflow & sump.

hole in top was clear .i raised the pipe back up to where it was and had to turn the return pump down just a whisker ,it's a little giant, it seemed ok full blast when i had air in the return line but is just a whisker too much now , so all looks good now again thank you for the replies..walt
