Overflow box question?

I have ordered an overflow box, it is a CPR CS50. There are some things that Im not sure that I fully understand, In the description of the product they have this note,"*NOTE* Air can get trapped in your overflow from time to time and will need bled out. You can avoid this by hooking up a RIO600RVT or simular venturi pump, keeps it free of bubbles and always restarts perfect."
1. Is there a problem with this product not restarting?
2. Where do you put the "Venturi pump" if traped air is a problem?
3. Is there any other way of making sure you get a restart without this pump?
Thank-you all, and God Bless the USA

Actually any powerhead with an air hose attachment will work. What you do is attach the hose from the powerhead to a fitting on the top of the overflow boxes sypho tube. Then put the pump in the tank, and start up the powerhead,This causes a suction through the air line that sucks all the trapped air out of the overflow...Once the air is gone,it just sucks water. My CPR overflow has never failed to restart for me,and I don't have the hose hooked up at all...It really is just a failsafe...

Oh,one more thing...I would NOT use a RIO pump. They have a bad rep of not restarting after a power outage...This would defeat the whole pourpose of having it...

Thanks Mr. Salty,
One more question, does the overflow box have the fitting to hook it up to the power head installed or is it a DYI thing?
Thank-you again

thing at the top of the overflow that the tube (airline hosing) will fit on to. then hook it up to the powerhead and bingo, your set. i just sucked the air out and plugged the hole, for now anyways, no prob yet.

Tara,
Here's a pic of my overflow box with airline tubing connected to the closest powerhead. Again, just like Mr.Salty said, there should be a hole in the top of your overflow you can push it through. Hope this pic helps:
Also, I'm going to shorten the airline too....seems to suck air better with less hose.
